Our primary goal is to be the "go to" Quality Assurance & Software Testing company in East and West Africa while developing offshore resources to fill test automation positions (and other hard to find software testing capabilities) in the North America and European markets.

Job Title: Solutions Architect

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Solutions Architect to join our IT team. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing comprehensive solutions that align with business objectives.
• The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, a strong background in system architecture, and a proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and gather requirements, ensuring alignment with technical capabilities.
• Design end-to-end solutions that meet business needs, considering scalability, security, and performance.
• Create and maintain comprehensive system architecture documentation and diagrams.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, infrastructure engineers, and project managers.
• Conduct architectural reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Assess and mitigate technical risks associated with solution design and implementation.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to inform architectural decisions.
• Participate in the planning and execution of projects, ensuring technical alignment with business goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Solutions Architect.
• Strong understanding of system architecture principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in designing scalable and secure solutions for complex business problems.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with diverse technical teams and collaborating on cross-functional projects.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with a variety of programming languages and development methodologies.
• Ability to assess and recommend appropriate technologies based on project requirements.
• Proactive attitude towards learning and staying updated on industry trends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect).
• Previous experience in a lead or senior architect role.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge of enterprise-level application integration and API design.
• Contribution to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of previous work.
