Job Title: Logistics Supervisor (Hospital)

Contract: 208 working hours per month (6 months renewable with probation period)

Main Purpose

  • Supervising all day-to-day Hospital Logistics activities in relation to the Hospital and ensure proper maintenance and follow-up of MSF Equipment, according to MSF standards and protocols in order to maintain the facilities in perfect conditions and collaborate in the development of the mission.

Job Description

  • Monitoring Maintenance activities of infrastructures, management of logistics and non-medical stocks and equipment according to MSF standards
  • Ensuring the check and follow-up of facilities under the line manager's supervision through daily walkarounds within the facilities and reporting any anomalies or problems, evaluation of the rehabilitation needs and following up minor building rehabilitation work according to Manager’s instructions; checking that premises observe security norms and monitoring the consumption of mechanical and electrical devices.
  • Planning together with the Line Manager the required checks and maintenance activities on all or related components within the Hospital according to MSF standards.
  • Coordinating and leading the Hospital logistics team under his/her responsibility which includes daily supervision, monitoring of the quality of work and the definition of each person's task, drawing up their working schedules; organizing and leading team meetings; and attending logistics meetings and accounting for his activities
  • Ensuring the proper management of hospital fleet; planning and overseeing timely preventive and curative maintenance according to MSF standards and instructing and monitoring watchmen and/or drivers on correct standard checks.
  • Managing and following up Internal Request and Orders which includes collecting logistics requests coming from different departments or health facilities, drawing up and following up orders according to the procedures in force.
  • Ensuring proper stock management of stocks and supplies received from Orders raised and maintain a re-order level of the supplies.
  • Carrying out all logistics related activities within the Hospital premises.
  • Providing logistics technical support to Medical Department at the Hospital to ensure the achieve objectives.
  • Implementation and monitoring of WATSAN basics within MSF facilities, including water supply and treatment, waste management, vector control in collaboration with medical team.
  • Provide support to medical teams in their identification, implementation and monitoring of hygiene and sanitation activities within health structures and according to MSF protocols.
  • Implementation and monitoring of hygiene and sanitation activities within the hospital in accordance with MSF protocols (e.g.: public health engineering in emergency cases).
  • Carry out the physical organization of equipment and tools used in water and sanitation activities outside health structures, in particular
  • Support IPC implementation program in collaboration with medical team and IPC committee, to address the issues related to patients with highly contagious disease.
  • Reception and preparation of purchase orders for water, sanitation, and hygiene equipment.
  • Support medical outreach activities, WATSAN basics are implemented.
  • Participation in staff training. Both MSF, MOH and outreach team.
  • Supporting line manager in plaining of annual map preparations of WATSAN related needs and materials specification of local and international order.
  • Implementation and monitoring of construction of WATSAN infrastructures, including maintenance and rehabilitation in line with MSF standard
  • Ensuring that the MSF procedures and protocols are followed by the WATSAN Teams to guarantee the operational quality.
  • Supervise the WATSAN Technician and WATSAN Agents working in the hospital.
  • Ensure daily work is done well.

Requirements
Education:

  • Essential Diploma in a technical/logistics field is essential.

Experience:

  • At least one year in MSF or 2 years in a similar post within another Organization

Languages:

  • Witten and Spoken English languages essential; local language desirable.

Remuneration
According to MSF salary scale (Level 6) plus 13th month allowance equivalent to 1 month of gross salary.
