Job Purpose

  • The purpose is to ensure that demographic and services data about people living with HIV (with priority focus on CLHIV 0-14 years old) receiving services across selected sites, including those newly diagnosed with HIV from diagnosis of AHD and throughout receipt of appropriate AHD related services, are properly documented on relevant source documents and systematically reported through the health information system (NHMIS, NMRS, DHIS 2, NDR).
  • It is also incumbent on the position to ensure that these data are reviewed, analyzed, and used to identify documentation and service delivery gaps across the continuum of AHD care for cause correction and continuous quality improvement in data quality and service provision.
  • As applicable, the role may support the design of the system for routine and periodic collection and analysis of survey and evaluation data to provide evidence for policy formulation and contribute to the body of knowledge through peer-reviewed publications.

Specific Duties &Responsibilities

  • Provide monitoring oversight for health facilities/service delivery points providing AHD related services to ensure availability and use of relevant source documents for documentation and data entry to NMRS/DHIS 2/NDR and other reporting platforms that may be used during implementation.
  • Provide data management support for the provision of AHD related services from diagnosis among CLHIV through the receipt of appropriate services along the continuum of AHD care.
  • Conduct routine review of AHD service statistics, concurrence review of AHD service data across reporting platforms, and flag data quality and service delivery gaps to EDEC, health facility staff and program managers for cause correction.
  • Facilitate processes for systematic follow up of relevant stakeholders on agreed upon system corrections, adjustments and actions for improved data quality, at least 95% concurrence across the cascade of AHD indicators and for program improvement.
  • Provide technical support for the conduct of AHD-related surveys, baseline, midline and end line evaluation targeted at measuring the impact of the package of AHD care among CLHIV receiving services across intervention states and facilities.
  • Collaborate with program and facility team to integrate discussion on AHD services for CLHIV in facility QI meetings, routine data, state technical and program review meetings.
  • Provide technical support in the development/use of information-sharing platforms for AHD to improve coordination and knowledge sharing including the production of analytical summaries: graphs, charts, tables, narratives and appealing visuals, as requested, to fulfill internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Conduct supportive supervision, on-site technical support, and mentoring on proper documentation and reporting of AHD service data on appropriate reporting platforms in a way that meets the dimension of data quality.
  • Serve as a liaison for the IMPAACT4HIV project to GON and other relevant stakeholders in the state.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Computer Science, Public Administration, or any related field.
