Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Intermediate Document Controller

Location: Nigeria

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining the document management and correspondence control systems in eROOM including document handling, registration, extraction, numbering, revision control, distribution, archiving, retention, to handover
  • Ensure that all correspondence documents are effectively managed and controlled according to COMPANY policies and procedures (electronic and hardcopy format) as set forth by Information Management/Document Control Supervisor and Document Control Coordinator
  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining reference documentation as required by using eROOM and various Document Control Tools such as Electronic Document Management Systems, eROOM, MS Excel etc.
  • Liaises with all identified stakeholders in the effective management and control of ALL information (Technical and Non-Technical)
  • Maintains and ensure execution of inventory checks against Master Correspondence Register and assists in the follow up of outstanding drawings, specifications, work methods and other vendor documents / drawings as required
  • Provides direct input to Document Control Coordinator on the efficiency of day to day operations and suggests improvements thereto
  • Mentors Junior Document Controllers.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Business Administration Associate or Bachelor's Engineering Degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in the oil and gas industry, OR
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) with related training and 4 years experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Demonstrated conceptual and practical understanding of hard and soft Electronic Document Management Systems
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook), Networking Applications, Windows / NT Operating Systems, Adobe Professional Suite, and web based applications
  • Working knowledge of design and drafting standards conventions and handling experience with various technical documents and drawings (P&IDs, PFD, MSDs, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Technical Manuals / Drawings, Specifications, Engineering Documents etc.)
  • Proven ability to communicate and to apply interpersonal / organizational skills in order to obtain the cooperation of others as required.
