Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor and Project Executive

Location: Lekki Phase I, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze technical drawings and documentation to prepare accurate estimates for time, cost, materials, and labor.
  • Assess cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services and track actual costs relative to bids throughout project progression.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including clients, project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to monitor project progress.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, pricing of items, cost analysis, and prepare cost estimates for bid submissions.
  • Prepare and update service scale of fees and other charges for effective project planning and scheduling.
  • Participate in tender processing and commercial negotiations for bid submissions.
  • Prepare quantity take-offs and bill of quantities for procurement planning.
  • Manage valuations of project variations and finalize accounts upon project completion.
  • Coordinate project quality control ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Review project documents and ensure correctness of drawings, material quantities, work schedules, health and safety plans, and more.
  • Oversee project planning and implementation including resource allocation, materials management, and equipment planning.
  • Ensure project constructability reviews are implemented effectively.
  • Manage project stakeholders including consultants, clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Document project deliverables such as as-built drawings, completion certificates, and operations manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
  • Supervise project sites and manage day-to-day operations including manpower supervision.
  • Facilitate project communication, reporting, and risk management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree / Higher National Diploma in Quantity Survey, Cost Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and Project Management.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems implementation experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Project management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Certified professional membership of relevant engineering bodies.
  • Qualification in construction health and safety.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in mechanical, electrical, civil, and fire engineering.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing demands.
