Job Title: Radiologist

Locations: Lagos and Ogun

Job Description

  • We are seeking highly qualified individuals to fill the position of a Radiologist, which will perform a range of radiologic and ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring the production of high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • The ideal candidate must hold a valid license and have in-depth knowledge of both radiography and ultrasound techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal structures.
  • Maintain detailed patient information records, procedures performed, and imaging results, to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality assurance standards.
  • Provide imaging interpretation for all imaging studies including X-ray, Mammography, CT, Ultrasound and MRI.
  • Position patients appropriately to obtain the best possible images while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Perform ultrasound examinations to visualize and analyze soft tissues and organs, adjust ultrasound equipment settings to optimize image quality, and capture relevant information.
  • Provide detailed explanations of procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing concerns when necessary.
  • Follow the hospital’s safety protocols/guidelines to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely image interpretation.
  • Perform routine maintenance on radiologic and ultrasound equipment to ensure proper functionality, and report equipment malfunctions to coordinate repairs as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in radiography and ultrasound procedures are typically required.
  • In-depth knowledge of radiographic and ultrasound techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a healthcare team environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and performing general radiology studies and procedures.
