Who We're Looking For

• MAKA is hiring a Buyer to drive brand and sourcing relationships to deliver the right selection for our consumers needs.

What you'll do

• You will source new brands, negotiate the best terms, have creative direction over your assortment, stay abreast of key trends whilst managing the existing brand portfolio
• You will work cross functionally with other departments such as operations, logistics, merchandising and marketing to drive sales and maximize profit
• You will know the latest trends and remain up to date with global and African fashion markets, especially for Nigeria.

Who you are

• You have 5+ years experience working in Buying for fashion brands/platforms
• You are entrepreneurial: this means you have an ownership mentality, a drive to act and a strong work ethic
• You are scrappy and flexible enough to work in a fast-paced startup environment with ambiguity and limited guidance.
• You have strong analytical skills, mixed with a passion for fashion and trends
• You are a strong negotiator who builds compelling relationships with suppliers and brands
• You are excited about fashion and/or e-Commerce, and the idea of creating the future of shopping in Africa.
