Job Description

• We are seeking a motivated and diligent individual to join our team as a Porter in our supermarket. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist with various tasks related to maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the supermarket.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the supermarket by performing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of displays, shelves, and promotional materials as needed.
• Help customers with carrying groceries to their vehicles and provide assistance with loading and unloading items.
• Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and return them to designated areas within the store.
• Monitor and replenish supplies such as shopping bags, carts, and cleaning materials.
• Collaborate with other team members to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe shopping experience for customers.
• Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the efficient operation of the supermarket.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess an FSLC, SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification with 0 - 2 years work experience.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to take on various tasks as needed.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work during early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to adhere to company policies regarding safety and cleanliness.

Salary
N40,000 monthly.
