We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Workshop Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the metal construction workshop.
  • Coordinate and schedule production activities to meet project deadlines.
  • Manage a team of skilled metalworkers, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Monitor inventory and order necessary materials to maintain production flow.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery, ensuring proper maintenance and functionality.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the workshop team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the workshop.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metal Fabrication, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in metal construction and project management are a plus.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the metal construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes and techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in metal construction.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
