About the Job

• We are seeking an irrigation engineer who will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining irrigation systems for rice fields.
• They work closely with our farmers and agricultural specialists to ensure that rice crops receive the necessary amount of water for their growth and development. 

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys and analyze soil and water samples to determine irrigation requirements for rice fields.
• Design and develop efficient irrigation systems, considering factors such as water source, crop water requirements, field topography, and soil type.
• Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure the successful installation and operation of irrigation systems.
• Implement and enforce industry standards and regulations related to water use and conservation.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of irrigation systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary adjustments.
• Provide guidance and training to farmers on proper irrigation practices and water management techniques.
• Conduct field inspections to assess irrigation system efficiency, identify problems, and propose solutions.
• Analyze data and prepare reports on irrigation system performance, water usage, and crop yields.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in irrigation technology and incorporate emerging trends and concepts into irrigation system designs.
• Collaborate with research institutions and organizations to contribute to the development of new irrigation practices and technologies.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in agricultural engineering, water resources engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation principles, techniques, and equipment.
• Proficient in using design software and tools for irrigation system planning and modeling.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with farmers, technicians, and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with agricultural practices and understanding of rice cultivation requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and water conservation practices.
• Experience with project management and budgeting is a plus.
