Job Description

  • Your role will involve conducting in-depth research, producing high-quality written content, and engaging with key stakeholders to provide valuable insights to our readership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and report on business news, market trends, and economic developments across Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Produce high-quality written content, including articles, reports, and analyses, focusing on the business landscape in the region.
  • Conduct interviews with local entrepreneurs, business leaders, and industry experts to gather insights and perspectives.
  • Monitor and report on regulatory changes, policy developments, and market dynamics affecting businesses across
  • Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of content delivery.
  • Engage with our audience through various platforms, including social media, to foster discussion and interaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in English Language, Mass Communication, Journalism, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in journalism, reporting, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of business environments, economic indicators, and market dynamics across Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Must understand macroeconomic subjects and have knowledge of capital markets.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with content management systems.
  • Previous experience covering business news and market developments across Sub-Saharan Africa.
