Eatrite Food Services West Africa Limited, Owners of Eatrite and Herfy franchises in Nigeria, is a food service company that owns chains of Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) within Abuja and Kano.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas, storage facilities, and equipment to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and adherence to food safety protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate food handling and preparation processes to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to food safety and quality assurance.
  • Train and educate employees on food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with food safety regulations and company standards.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, such as health departments or third-party auditors, for inspections and certifications.
  • Investigate and address customer complaints related to food quality or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports, corrective actions, and training records.

Qualifications

  • HND / Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years post-NYSC experience
  • Must reside in Abuja
  • Relevant work experience in quality assurance in the food service industry will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and local health department guidelines.
  • Excellent understanding of food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential risks or deviations from quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using computer software and tools for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of food testing and analysis techniques is a plus.
  • Certification in food safetyis highly desirable.
