Job Description
- Provide technical leadership for the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project.
- Provide leadership and supportive supervision for State Team Leads in the provision of comprehensive routine immunization services.
- Support the development of annual work plans and budgets for project implementation
- Provide leadership in the implementation of evidence-based interventions on routine immunization services.
- Ensure capacity strengthening of implementing routine immunization programmes
- Ensure professional documentation and timely submission of project reports and presentations to the project director.
- Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor
Specific Responsibilities
- We seek applications from qualified persons for the following position in an anticipated US CDC funded Immunization project “Strengthening immunization program implementation in sub-national consequential geographies in Nigeria (SIPIS-Nigeria)”.
- The candidate will be based in Abuja with oversight functions on selected states and report to the Chief of Party.
Qualifications
- MBBS or Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Sciences, Social Sciences, Social Work or related field.
- A Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration or Management will be added advantage.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of Eight (8) years of experience in Donor funded program such as USG or United Nations in routine immunization.
- Vast experience in managing USG-funded activities, including program planning, implementation, data use, monitoring and reporting.
- Ability to develop and track project work plans and budget effectively.
- Proven track record of leadership, supportive supervision, mentoring and coaching skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English Language.
- Great Interpersonal Communication Skills.
