Sevans Construction Nigeria Limited was established in 1981 with Registration No. RC 37125 as a limited liability company specialized in all kinds of “PEB”: Pre-Engineered Buildings. Located in Lagos, Nigeria. Working from certified designs in the manufacturing and erection of steel structures, we can construct a wide variety of buildings such as: warehouses, airport hangers, factories, churches, commercial and residential spaces with Structural Steel fabrication design & erection to the civil construction and in the Oil & Gas Industries, development and manufacturing of various semi-trailers, rigid truck bodies, which enabled the company to deliver complete projects of steel structures coupled with civil engineering. Our factory is run by a team of specialized professional staff and can churn out 250tons of steel products a month. A qualified technical and professional team is available to assist when queries arise in the factory or for follow-up on site.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Steel Fabrication Supervisor

Location: Ilupeju, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • To ensure that all welds are flawless.
  • Coordinate, Supervise and monitor production team members.
  • Interpret, explain fabrication drawing to the production team.
  • Ensure that fabrication platforms & jigs are properly set
  • To ensure that quality and schedule of work meets customers/SCNL standards
  • Weld components and framework using a variety of welding processes.
  • Position, align and fit parts according to specifications.
  • Take daily production report and submit all reports to Assistant Production Manager.
  • Grind, sand, polish and detail fabrications to required finish using hand and power tools to a high standard.
  • Measure and examine completed work to verify conformance to specifications.
  • All Fabrications tasks are to be completed in the agreed (quoted) time frames or better.
  • Operation of manual machine tools, as part of the fabrication process when required.
  • Machines to be kept in a tidy and well-maintained manner, which would require maintenance from time to time.
  • To ensure that all welders adhere to safety rules and regulations.
  • To ensure that daily work schedules are achieved with high percentage completion.
  • To ensure that disciplinary measures are implemented.
  • To ensure that Management directives are implemented.
  • To ensure close monitoring of attendance, job handover and receipt.
  • To ensure that efforts are made at promptly delivery of high-quality work.
  • To make sure that Toolbox meetings are held before commencement of work.
  • To ensure that welders signs all necessary tools from stores and returned back after use.
  • To ensure effective communication between the line supervisors
  • To see that company’s values of safety, quality, integrity and schedule are met.
