  • Ashipa Electric is seeking a qualified Power Systems Engineer. The Power Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading and executing power system engineering work related to grid-connected and off-grid microgrid projects.

Details

  • In the Power Systems Engineer role, you will become proficient in the products and services that Ashipa Electric offers.
  • These include power system studies, electrical distribution design, digital relay protection and control, PLC programming and commissioning, equipment assessments and power quality assessments.
  • You will have the opportunity to continuously expand your skills and increase your knowledge so that the solutions we offer are technically sound and meet applicable regulatory standards.
  • Power Systems Engineers are must ensure that each project satisfies specifications and customer needs and is completed within the project timeline and budget.
  • Projects are typically a mixture of office-based design or system study activities coupled with onsite data collection, commissioning, and installation.
  • Some projects may require travel and onsite work to be performed outside of regular working hours
  • As a Power Systems Engineer you will develop relationships with key customers and work to become the trusted advisor for them in order to facilitate an effective partnership and drive incremental business.

  • Develops and maintains own technical and commercial proficiency of Ashipa Electric’s products and services.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • The ability to quickly establish trust of clients in a consulting role
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas
  • Electrical power system studies
  • Electrical power distribution design
  • Switchgear Automation and PLC application
  • Digital protective relay programming and commissioning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Digital protective relay programming and commissioning
  • PLC programming and commissioning related to switchgear automation
  • SKM, E-tap or Easypower software experience
  • Autocad experience
  • Electrical maintenance and testing experience
