Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for resolution of all levels of trouble tickets for enterprise and carriers as per SLA
• Customer notification of network maintenance and servis affecting events and periodic updates to customers and internal stakeholders
• Creation & documentation of formal troubleshooting and service activation processes
• Generate reports of network events, customer outage response times for management performance review Document and diagnose underlying network architer Issues for submission to Engineering for problem res process,
• Provide feedback to engineering on improvements necessary for NMS, OSS to better support services

Qualification, Experience & Skills

• University graduate in Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunication or Computer Science from a reputable Engineering Institute.
• Ideal candidate will possess Certification's equivalent to Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional (CCIP).
• Minimum of 15 years experience in a telecommunications environment.
• Good communicator with a natural aptitude for dealing with people.
• Good network diagnostic skills,
• Ability to assess and prioritize faults and respond or escalate accordingly.
• Very good understanding of SDH, PDH and IP/MPLS systems.
• Advanced understanding of Ethernet and IP networks including troubleshooting techniques.
• Good understanding of network, monitoring concepts and management tools.
