Job Description

  • As a Hospitality Establishment Accountant, the individual will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and stability of the Organization.
  • The person will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • This role requires strong attention to detail, financial expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments within the Organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements on a regular basis.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of the hotel's annual budget, ensuring that expenses are controlled, and revenue goals are met.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and collection efforts.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and identify discrepancies.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis, variance analysis, and key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, prepare and file tax returns, and liaise with external tax advisors when necessary.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and minimize financial risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an accountant in the hospitality industry (5years minimum).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
