We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Carpenter

Location: Mowe, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and follow blueprints, sketches, and construction drawings to meet project requirements.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, drywall, fiberglass, or plastic to construct structures and fixtures.
  • Install structures and fixtures, including windows, doors, cabinets, stairs, trim, and hardware.
  • Inspect and repair damaged structures or fixtures.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper procedures for handling tools and materials.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, and report any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Estimate materials and labor costs for carpentry projects.
  • Provide guidance and training to apprentice carpenters, as needed.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess an SSCE qualification with 4 years work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Carpenter
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, sanders, and nail guns.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and best practices.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction drawings.
  • Excellent mathematical skills for measuring, cutting, and calculating material requirements.
  • Attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Certification or training in carpentry is a plus.
  • Must Reside in Mowe, or its axis.
