Purpose of the Job
- Responsible for managing overall IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities (Deliverables)
System Availability:
- Develop and implement strategies for high system availability.
- Monitor system uptime and downtime.
- Implement backup and recovery procedures.
- Conduct regular system maintenance.
- Implement automated system monitoring tools.
Security:
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Monitor security logs and conduct vulnerability assessments.
- Implement and manage access controls.
- Conduct security awareness training.
- Respond to security incidents and conduct post-incident reviews.
Cost Optimization:
- Develop and implement cost optimization strategy.
- Review IT infrastructure spending for cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors for favorable terms.
- Manage hardware and software inventory.
- Implement automation tools for efficiency.
User Satisfaction:
- Conduct regular user feedback surveys.
- Analyze feedback for improvement.
- Develop user-focused IT infrastructure services.
- Provide training and support to end-users.
- Establish communication channels for user feedback.
Leadership:
- Provide leadership for the IT infrastructure team.
Educational Qualifications & Skills
- University Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field (2.1).
- Post Graduate Degree (MBA, M.Sc.) is an added advantage.
- Certifications in Agile practices (Scrum, etc.) and professional certifications are essential.
Work Experience:
- 3-5 years in IT infrastructure management.
- Leadership experience in developing and motivating teams.
- Strong technical skills in networking, security, system administration, and cloud computing.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale IT projects.
- Vendor management and regulatory compliance experience.
