We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the quantity surveying department, providing leadership and direction to a team of quantity surveyors.
  • Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
  • Manage procurement and contract administration processes.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient cost management and control across projects.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • B.Sc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field from a globally recognized institution.
  • MSc added advantage
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a leadership role within a similar organization, overseeing complex, high-value construction projects.
  • Extensive experience in MEP, Buildings, Infrastructure BEME.
  • Strong knowledge of contract management for both Nigerian and international organizations.
  • Professional certification in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating and securing cost-effective agreements with top-tier contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • In-depth knowledge of international construction cost standards, contracts, and procurement processes.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of managing cost-related risks in large-scale projects.
  • Proficient in utilizing advanced quantity surveying software and technologies, including Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a strong history of collaborating with C-level executives.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies in quantity surveying, construction management, and project cost estimation.

Skills Needed:

  • Negotiation: Proven track record of successfully negotiating and securing cost-effective agreements with top-tier contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Risk Management: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of managing cost-related risks in large-scale projects.
  • Advanced Software Proficiency: Proficient in advanced quantity surveying software, including Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms.
  • International Standards: In-depth knowledge of international construction cost standards, contracts, and procurement processes.
  • Leadership in Associations: Membership and active involvement in leadership roles within prestigious professional quantity surveying associations.
  • Communication and Negotiation: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strong history of collaborating with C-level executives.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies in quantity surveying, construction management, and project cost estimation.
  • Thorough understanding of construction processes and materials.
