Job Summary

  • As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors.
  • You will enforce security protocols, monitor surveillance equipment, and respond to incidents as necessary.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Patrol assigned areas regularly to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, vandalism, or other security threats.
  • Conduct security checks of personnel, vehicles, and packages entering and leaving the premises.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify potential security breaches.
  • Enforce company security policies and procedures, including access control measures.
  • Provide assistance and support to employees and visitors, addressing inquiries and concerns related to security matters.
  • Secure all exits, doors, and windows after the end of operations.
  • Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
  • Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, taking appropriate action to resolve situations effectively.
  • Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
  • Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents, including reports of theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.

Requirements

  • OND + 20 years experience in industrial security at the supervisory level or 10 years experience at the officers' level.
  • Basic understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of security systems and law enforcement practices.
  • Sound knowledge of physical and security risk management approaches.
  • Ability to think strategically and holistically.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to pay adequate attention to detail. 
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
