Job Title: Doctor (Gynaecologist)

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Asaba - Delta
Functionally Reports to: Clinical Head
Job Type: Full Time

Job Objectives

You will diagnose and treat various conditions and illnesses related to the female reproductive system, perform surgical procedures, and provide prenatal care and delivery services. Principal Duties / Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities:

  • Client Consultations and Evaluation:
    • Conduct initial consultations and clinical evaluations for new clients.
    • Provide follow-up care and consultations for returning clients.
    • Hold enquiry sessions with potential clients and conduct further enquiry as necessary.
  • Treatment Coordination:
    • Perform stimulation folliculometry and determine the timing of the trigger for clients undergoing treatment.
    • Prepare and type medical reports and referral letters, including referrals for pregnant clients.
    • Conduct first, second, and third-trimester pregnancy scans.
    • Provide medical counseling to clients as needed.
  • Cycle Management:
    • Conduct failed cycle reviews with clients and participate in the failed cycle review committee.
    • Perform post-treatment reviews, including post-IUI, post-aspiration/PGD, and canceled IVF cycles.
    • Conduct pre- and post-operative reviews for endoscopic surgeries.
    • Perform "egg retrieval" procedures after stimulation.
    • Conduct embryo transfers and intrauterine insemination procedures.
  • Supervision and Brand Representation:
    • Supervise the nursing team (BDU) to ensure the implementation of the organization's policies and programs.
    • Participate in the presentation of the brand at in-center, out-center, and media events.
    • Coordinate fertility school presentations.
  • Minor Procedures and Surgery Assistance:
    • Conduct minor gynecological procedures such as sonohy sterogram, endometrial scratching, and dummy transfers.
    • Assist in major endoscopic surgeries as needed.

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Engagement:
    • Ensure regular posts and shares of articles, opinions, and open discussions on social media channels to educate and engage our community.
  • Clinical Expertise:
    • Contribute clinical expertise to patient care, collaborate with the healthcare team, and provide guidance to improve patient outcomes.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards to maintain the highest level of care and safety for our clients.

Job Requirements
To be successful in the role, the candidates should meet the following requirements:
Education:

  • MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)
  • Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS)
  • Fellow of the Nigerian Medical College of Surgeons (FNMCS)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of post-fellowship work experience in gynaecology and obstetrics.

Technical Competencies:

  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Profound knowledge of theatre procedures.
  • Proficiency in the operation and management of medical equipment, such as scanners and other relevant tools.
