Job Title: Electrical Technician

Location: Ashipa Village, Ogun
Job Type: Full-time
Industry: Manufacturing (FMCG)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, including but not limited to motors, switches, wiring, and lighting fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform repairs or replacements as necessary to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and production teams to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure timely resolution of electrical issues.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Assist in training other staff members on electrical safety procedures and best practices as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical Certification or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience working as an electrical technician or in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to accommodate production schedules and emergency repairs.
