Job Title: Junior Auditor

Location: Lekki / Ajah, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Brief

  • We are currently seeking for a skilled junior auditor to support the audit team in evaluating the accuracy of financial records, ensuringcompliance with laws and regulations, and assessing the efficiency of internal controls.
  • The goal will be to provide excellent assistance and support to the management.

Responsibilities

  • Review Financial Statements: Meticulously examine financial statements and accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and regulations.
  • Internal Control Testing: Perform tests of internal controls to verify their effectiveness and identify any weaknesses or risks.
  • Audit Documentation: Assisting in the preparation of audit documentation, including detailed work papers and summaries of findings.
  • Detect Irregularities: Scrutinize company financial transactions and records to identify any irregularities or discrepancies.
  • Client Meetings: Actively participate in meetings with clients to discuss audit findings and recommend improvements.
  • Risk Assessment: Assisting in assessing the company’s risk management strategies and practices.
  • IT System Evaluation: Supporting the audit team in evaluating IT systems that impact financial reporting and controls.
  • Audit Program Development: Contributing to the development of audit programs and approaches for new or unusual transactions or events.
  • Tax Return Preparation: Prepare tax returns based on the financial data.
  • Analysing Account Books: Analyse account books and accounting systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Systematic Spending Checks: Diligently monitor the company’s spending to improve organizational efficiency.
  • Provide a qualitative and quantitative evaluation-based on empirical data finding.
  • Work on high volume transactions for the company.
  • Prepare balance sheet and audit statement for the company.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or related fields
  • At least 5 years experience in related field.
  • Evidence of training certificates in related field is an added advantage.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 Monthly.
