Job Title: Planning Engineer (Operations) - Specialization Services
Location: Gbaran, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract
Start Date: 1st March 2024.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure performance assurance and proactive health checks of the associated components of (HIMA Logic Solver)
- Ensure periodic health checks on Human Machine Interface workstations and Servers. Systems fault diagnosis and recovery.
- Access and interpret Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID); Cause and Effects Matrix (C&E); Process Flow Scheme
- (PFS); Functional Logic Diagram (FLD); Instrument Loop Drawings (ILD) and Process Engineering Flow Scheme (PEFS)
- required for fault tracing and issue resolutions.
- Work closely with service Contractor(s) towards safe delivery of vendor-based maintenance jobs.
- Initiate and follow up with spares procurement towards expedited delivery for maintenance execution.
- Ensure technical integrity of assets through Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities, quality assurance and performance standard verification of safety-critical equipment
- Technically support Operations personnel towards plant safe operations.
- Ensure field instrumentation availability and reliability towards meeting business targets on hydrocarbon processing and export operations.
- Maintain Systems availability for the continuous operation of the Flow station and Gas plant.
- Identifying critical spares and follow-up ordering and delivery.
- Integrate with other disciplines to achieve Asset integrity continuously.
- Promotes site safety and continuous hazard identification, mitigation and close-out.
- Other assignments for continuous improvements as exigent.
Work Cycle
- The work location is a land-based (Gbaran Ubie integrated Gas plant) accessible via land and Air.
- The job activity period is daily on a 12-hour (7 am to7pm) routine over 14 days.
- There is a standard 2weeks on and 2weeks off schedule.
- The successful candidate will manage their absences with his/her contractor for suitably qualified covers.
- There may be a need for periodic visits to Shell industrial area for training and official assignments.
- Personnel may be required to work extended hours as the need may arises
Academics
- B.Eng / HND in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering.
- Age < 45years.
Work Experience
- 7-10 years of work experience in Instrumentation within the oil and gas Industry.
- Vendor Specific System Engineers’ Competence Level certification will be an added advantage.
Skills:
- Mastery/Proficiency in Field Instrumentation PM & CM for both HART and Fieldbus communication protocols
- Experience in CAO/SCADA/ PLC (Allen Bradley)
- Experience in Control Loop design, Implementation, and commissioning
- Experience in actuator valves and ESD systems maintenance
- Experience in PAS and fire protection systems Maintenance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Mastery/Proficiency in Engineering and Maintenance of HIMA systems
- Mastery/Proficiency in Engineering and Maintenance of Delta V systems.
- Experience in Control System Maintenance
- Basic Knowledge of PI System
Soft Skills (Added advantage):
- Strong Communication & interpersonal relationship skills
- Proficiency in Onsite risk management.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Tools and SAP.
