We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Security Officer / CCTV Control Officer

Location: Abuja
Direct Report: Other Security personnel
Reports to: Supervisor, Admin Manager, QA & QC

Purpose of Position

  •  To protect lives and property of the hospital

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • To greet patients when they enter the facility.
  • To protect people, property, information, and reputation.
  • Responds rapidly to security emergencies within the hospital or health care setting.
  • May help people into and out of their cars, receive hospital deliveries at night, and escort patients as needed.
  • Patrol the hospital premises and identifying suspicious behaviours. 
  • Ensuring that the security arrangements in the hospital like computers, alarm systems and close circuit cameras are functioning properly.
  • Researching new methods of hospital security and recommending upgrading of the existing system.
  • Placing miscreants under citizen’s arrest until he can be handed over to the law enforcement officials.
  • Interact with hospital staff of all divisions with special emphasis on drug storage areas, infant care units, ward for mentally ill patients and trauma care.
  • In case of fire or bomb threats, takes charge of evacuating the hospital.
  • Having a liaison between the hospital and law enforcement agency.
  • Any other Adhoc duties

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an SSCE qualification
  • 1-3 years’ experience
  • Required Skills & Competencies
  • Active listener, tactful, diplomatic and articulate                                            
  • Ability to make good judgment and prioritization
  • Able to identify suspicious activities and guard against illegal actions such as violence, threats, thefts, criminal behavior, and regulation breaches
