Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP)

Location: Lagos

Duties and Responsibilities

• Estimating and preparing tender documents, budgets, and cost plans for construction projects.
• Conducting cost analysis and providing advice on procurement strategies.
• Assessing and evaluating contractor quotations and negotiating contracts.
• Managing and monitoring project costs .
• Conducting value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without sacrificing quality.
• Preparing interim valuations and final accounts.
• Providing financial reports and forecasts to project stakeholders.
• Collaborating with engineers, and other professionals to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Contributing to risk management assessments and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• BSc in Quantity Surveying
• MSc added advantage
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a leadership role within a similar organization, overseeing complex, high-value building services projects.
• Extensive experience in MEP, Buildings
• Strong knowledge of contract management
• Professional certification in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating and securing cost-effective agreements with top-tier contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• In-depth knowledge of construction cost standards, contracts, and procurement processes.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of managing cost-related risks in large-scale projects.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies in quantity surveying, construction management, and project cost estimation.
