Ritman University is the 58th Private University, approved by the Federal Government to begin academic activities on February 25 2015 and Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to begin operations as a Private University on March 5th 2015.

Qualification
- The applicant should have a Bachelor's Degree not lower than Second Class Honours, in Health and Physical Education or Physical Education or related discipline, with great interest and experience in such sports as football, basketball, lawn tennis, table tennis, track events etc. with not less than 3 (three) years post qualification experience in coaching. OR
- The individual must be currently employed as a coach in post secondary or tertiary institution of learning or a professional coach with at least 3 (three) years experience in the coaching of popular sporting events in the country.
- He must be an individual with an unquestionable/impeccable moral character, who has the overall interest for youth development and motivation.
