Ritman University is the 58th Private University, approved by the Federal Government to begin academic activities on February 25 2015 and Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to begin operations as a Private University on March 5th 2015.

Qualification and Requirements
- The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Security Studies, Psychology or Social Psychology or related discipline, not lower than Second Class Honours, from a recognized institution.
- Could be a serving or retired military officer, not lower than the rank of a major.
- Must be disciplined, married with good moral character.
