Coleman Technical Industries Limited ("Coleman") was incorporated on the 1st of July, 1975 and started production in 1996 with the principal operation of manufacturing of electrical wires and cables that meet international standards for Oil Industries, Commercial and Residential. The Company was founded on the principles of developing local industries that would in turn create jobs through the production of good quality products.

Job Title: ICT Manager

Job Description

• Oversee and direct the day-to-day activities of an organization’s information technology (IT) department.
• Ensuring that systems, services, and infrastructure work reliably and securely.
• Lead teams that develop and implement networks and servers, respond to user help desk requests, and monitor system stability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the management and maintenance of Servers and end user devices.
• Local Area Network (LAN) and internet monitoring.
• Troubleshooting and resolving computer faults.
• Monitoring and maintenance of computers and networks.
• Regular system backup/Maintenance.
• Monitor the company’s network infrastructure, including physical cable systems but also including any offsite and cloud-based services.
• Monitor the performance and capacity of servers and systems and provide management with strategic advice to maintain these key components within peak operational parameters.
• Oversee IT new and ongoing projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center.
• Maintain incident sheet, tracking it for ongoing issues, proposing solutions and implementing solutions.
• Monitor the company’s server’s capacity to avoid system crashes.
• Manages department activities while upgrading systems, server management and migrating the organization’s data.
• Implement new IT procedures and practices to facilitate improved management and coordination of services.
• Be the primary technical contact for IT support requests within business hours.
• Work and liaise with third parties who provide strategic IT technical and professional support if required.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers for product assessment, quotations and tender responses.
• Strategically research and advice on potential new IT products and services that would benefit the company’s operations.

Educational Qualifications & Work Experience:

• HND/B.Sc qualifications in Information Technology or other related areas.
• Proven experience in similar role; Minimum 3 years’ experience in the manufacturing sector is desirable.
• Demonstrated capability to provide leadership and strategic direction to the ICT team of the company.
