Golden Sugar Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, and a member of the FMN Group. The company operates one of the biggest Sugar Refineries in Nigeria, with a capacity to process 750,000 metric tons of Sugar per annum.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Technician - Tractor Mechanic

Location: Niger
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Diagnosis and Repair:

• Perform diagnostic tests on tractors and agricultural equipment to identify issues.
• Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems.

Preventive Maintenance:

• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure longevity of equipment.
• Inspect and replace worn or damaged parts as part of regular maintenance schedules.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities.

Hydraulic and Electrical Systems:

• Work with hydraulic systems, ensuring proper functioning and addressing leaks or malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring and electronic components.

Welding and Fabrication:

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks to repair or modify equipment as needed.
• Ensure structural integrity and safety compliance of equipment.

Testing and Quality Control:

• Conduct tests on repaired equipment to verify proper functioning.
• Ensure that all repaired machinery meets safety and quality standards.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of all repairs, replacements, and maintenance activities.
• Provide detailed reports on the condition of equipment to supervisors and management.

Customer Interaction:

• Communicate with customers to understand issues and explain repair processes.
• Provide recommendations for maintenance practices to enhance equipment performance.
