Job Title: Concrete Mixer Driver

Locations: Abuja & Port Harcourt - Rivers

Job Description

• The concrete mixer driver works in road construction and building construction sites.

Responsibilities

• The concrete mixer driver should use the equipment in line with company policy as well as regulatory requirements for new development projects such as housing or road construction projects.

The job involves the following duties and responsibilities:

• Driving the equipment safely and securely
• Transport concrete from a designated pick-up location to a designated drop-off location
• Assess and plan the route that needs to be taken to ensure timely delivery
• Ensure that the vehicle is in good shape, inspect the mechanics, and identify any necessary maintenance work
• Maneuver the vehicle through challenging and sometimes close-fitting spaces to load or unload the ready mix concrete
• Report any issues encountered, such as defects, scratches, or accidents
• Comply with delivery instructions
• Perform any light maintenance such as refueling and cleaning the truck
• Carrying out other functions as may be assigned by the site supervisor or manager
• It is crucial that the driver follows strict safety and security measures at all times.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate should possess a valid class G driver's license, with a minimum of five (5) years experience,
• Past experience in the construction industry is mandatory.
