We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Network Operations & Support Assistant

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise, escalating to senior team members or vendors when necessary.
• Perform routine network maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and backups.
• Respond to network-related inquiries and support requests from end-users in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in the documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for the procurement and implementation of network equipment and services.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems with other infrastructure components.
• Participate in after-hours and on-call rotations as needed to address network emergencies or scheduled maintenance activities.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices related to network operations and support.

Requirements

• Experience with network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician - CCENT, CompTIA Network+) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
• Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
