Job Title: Performance Management Specialist

Job Description

  • The purpose of the Performance Management Specialist is to develop and execute programs and projects to evaluate, measure, and improve employee performance.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of company-wide performance appraisal programs.
  • Provide advice and recommendations to management and employees.
  • Provide ongoing oversight and support to ensure that performance measures are being used to effectively manage operations.
  • Identify and manage risks, and effect organizational change.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of agency core competencies, core values, and key performance measures into performance appraisal system
  • Develop and conduct presentations and training to management on the performance appraisal system.
  • Develop and conduct presentations and training to staff on the performance appraisal system
  • Conduct assessments and gap analysis on employee skills and training.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement plans
  • Assess various staffing needs to determine methods to address current and future conditions, including retention management, realignment, recruitment planning, and career development.
  • Suggest change management initiatives by conducting readiness assessments, job-impact analysis, and skill and capability assessments

Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills

  • Minimum of 2.2 / Upper Credit Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Science, Arts & Humanities and other related field.
  • Sound knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and statutes.
  • Best practices relating to employee performance management.
  • Knowledge of human resources management principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of workforce planning, succession planning and strategic planning.
  • Effectively communicating, both orally and written.
  • Knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Critical thinking to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Ability to develop and use of work simplification methods and statistical procedures.
