Librarian at Igbajo Polytechnic

Igbajo Polytechnic, Igbajo, Osun State, Nigeria is one of the well established private Polytechnics in Nigeria. It was established in year 2005 at a temporary site located at Kiriji Memorial College Igbajo. It has acquired a permanent site (50 hectares of land) along Igbajo Imesi-Ile road, at a distance of 1KM away from Igbajo.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Librarian

Location: Igbajo, Osun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• The Librarian shall be the academic and administrative head of the polytechnic Library.
• The Librarian shall be responsible to the Rector for the development Polytechnic library system.
• The Librarian shall be responsible for the provision of bibliographic services to the academic community in the Polytechnic.
• The Librarian shall provide academic services by way of effective teaching and research in library science towards library manpower production.

Requirements

• The Librarian shall be a University graduate with relevant higher Degrees in Library Studies and with a minimum of ten (10) years cognate experience.
• The Librarian must be computer literate.
• In addition to the above qualifications, candidates are expected to demonstrate intellectual and excellent conduct in discipline, integrity and sound judgment.
