Job Description

  • The Director of Public Sector business is responsible for driving transformation engagements with governments throughout Nigeria and Africa.
  • The role will lead SATH’s public sector business strategy, revenue growth, and market development for the Public Sector across key markets and geographies.
  • The role is also accountable for the performance and strategic growth of the public sector vertical across the region, as well as overseeing the operational management of the regional business office.
  • He or she will bear overall responsibility for managing the staff and operations at domain job location and also provide oversight on all staff within the public sector space in Nigeria and across Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Distils public sector budgets, prepares forecasts, territory management, and growth plans.
  • Develop new and nurture existing revenue streams in order to optimize opportunities and grow SATH's business within the public sector vertical.
  • Own, monitor and drive the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcomes, aligning product and channel plans for the public sector vertical.
  • Drive all business engagements around technology adoption within the public sector space and ensure that significant deals from these engagements are closed.
  • Lead, inspire and motivate team by role modelling the SATH’s culture, building employee engagement, promoting diversity and inclusion and ensuring an effective performance development for team.
  • Analyse National and regional market dynamics to maximize existing successes and to create new growth opportunities.
  • Takes accountability for all public sector sales, including budgets and revenue.
  • Performs any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Proven commercial acumen with experience across sales and sales cycle
  • Good understanding of PS relationship management
  • In-depth understanding of the PS landscape
  • Ability to lead and inspire team members (a leader per excellence)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build long term, high quality, trusted relationships up to C-level
  • Excellent networking, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic with the ability to plan and organise work to meet stretching targets
  • Industry product knowledge with clear understanding and knowledge of B2B Business environment.
