Job Summary

  • We are in search of an innovative, creative, self-motivated and dynamic Strategic Information Assistant, with excellent and relevant experience and skills inensuring the development, implementation and maintenance of data management strategies, policies, procedures and processes.
  • Management of the organization data management system.Ensuring that data reporting and analysis is coordinated and implemented in line with organizational strategies and donor requirements.
  • The personnel will Support to improve and sustain standards in our healthcare services and strengthen our commitment to data-driven decision-making, the role of a Strategic Information Assistant is vital to provide technical support on all SI-related activities, strengthen data management and contribute to improved patient outcomes in the KP OSS.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Staff will supervise regular data collection across all service delivery point and ensure the quality of data by random verification and validations while preserving data for easy accessibility onsite.
  • Staff will assist in coordinating and engaging data clerks in supported KP CBOs and Community Case Management Testing (CCMT) to collect data against agreed indicators in line with GON and USG requirements
  • Staff will provide technical support on all SI-related activities and evidence-based recommendations by analyzing program information, discuss findings, and provide feedback to the relevant program teams onsite.
  • Staff will ensure the use of program Monitoring and Evaluation tools (source documents) across all thematic areas and provide hands-on mentoring on all identified knowledge gaps.
  • Staff will assist with the implementation of SI activities and ensure they adhere to the organization’s standard monitoring and evaluation systems.
  • Staff will be responsible for reporting all KP OSS service statistics; review, validate and conduct completeness, and consistency checks on all data entered on the DHIS 2 instance.
  • Staff will support review of data entry into the NMRS onsite for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Staff will supervise and track routine weekly uploads to the NDR onsite and across LGA instances.
  • Staff will also oversee DECs/EDECs in all documentation efforts aimed at ensuring high-quality data to enhance NMRS output.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum 4 years’ experience in reporting position with Local or International NGOs; preferably in Care and treatment 
  • Experience with DHIS, DATIM and RADET reporting a plus
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access required;
  • Experience with data form design, collection and data entry;
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team;            
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large amount of information;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
