The Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation is a UK-based charity established with the vision of advancing human security in Africa. The Foundation partners with change agents, policy makers, global partners and visionary individuals worldwide to tackle critical problems in four critical areas of human security: Food and Nutrition Security: Feed Africa Initiative Economic Security: Youth Empowerment Initiative Gender Equality: Education For Girls Initiative Health Security: Health Improvement Initiative Each area has a cornerstone initiative supported by three key functions: grant making, grant management and advocacy.

The Foundation seeks to forge strong partnerships and work to raise public awareness of the issues focused on and also encourage inspiring action at all levels. In addition to these initiatives, the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta -Nigeria, due for completion in 2013, supports the mission of the Foundation. The Center hosts a youth center and is collaborating with international partners to bring technical training for the Foundation’s Youth Empowerment Initiative. The Center will inspire the next generation of leaders and others to follow in President Obasanjo’s legacy of committed service.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Clinical Audiologist

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The Clinical Audiologist will be responsible for administering diagnostic tests to evaluate hearing, balance and related disorders, and providing patient-centered care to individuals of all ages who may present with hearing loss or balance problems.
  • The Clinical Audiologist will work with patients to develop individualized treatment plans and may work in a variety of settings such as hospitals, clinics, and private practices.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) Degree or Master's Degree in Audiology
  • Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience
  • Experience with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and procedures
  • Ability to evaluate and manage a wide range of hearing and balance disorders
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients of all ages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort with electronic medical records and computer-based practice management systems
  • Current certification/licensure as required by state and/or national regulations
  • Participation in continuing education activities to maintain knowledge and skills in Audiology.
