Job Title: Experienced Chef

Location: Jabi, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Head Chef is responsible for overseeing food preparation and also ensuring they are they are presented in an aesthetically pleasing way, while also coordinating the overall affairs of the kitchen.

Duties

  • Total management of the kitchen, preparing meals, handling inventory, stock management, making requisitions, costing and overall kitchen activities.
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment, and ensure the readiness of ingredients used in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen by ensuring cooking utensils are clean before and after each use
  • Ensure that food portions and food presentation meet company standards before they are served.
  • Monitor Kitchen supplies and re-ordering stock as needed.
  • Must be actively involved in menu planning and the training of new staff.
  • Follow & Monitor recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients.
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standard.
  • Follow proper handling and right temperature of all food products.

Requirements

  • Educational Qualification: HND / B.Sc in Hospitality Management/ Culinary Management
  • Experience: Minimum of 20 years experience working as a Head Chef in the hospitality indsutry.

Remuneration
Open to negotiation (Attractive and based on industry standard).
