Job Title: Chef
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities
- Ensuring food quality and taste is of the highest standard
- Controlling budgets and minimizing wastage
- Maintaining health and hygiene in the kitchen
- Total management of the kitchen, preparing meals, handling inventory, stock management, making requisitions, costing and overall kitchen activities.
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment, and ensure the readiness of ingredients used in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen by ensuring cooking utensils are clean before and after each use
- Ensure that food portions and food presentation meet company standards before they are served.
- Monitor Kitchen supplies and re-ordering stock as needed.
- Must be actively involved in menu planning and the training of new staff.
- Follow & Monitor recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients.
- Follow proper handling and right temperature of all food products.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree / HND / OND with at least 3 years relevant work experience.
