Achievers Improved Health Initiative is a non profit organization founded in 2014, to address the health and rights needs of diverse marginalized/minority persons in Nigeria. This was in response to the effect of the syncretism of culture and religion in our context that exacerbates their lived experiences, leaving them more vulnerable to stigma and discrimination.

Job Description

  • We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Director of  Programme (DOP) to join our team.
  • As a Director of  Programme (DOP), you will play a vital role in advancing our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiating and setting goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization
  • Planning the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes
  • Developing or approving budgets and operations

Qualifications
Mandatory:

  • M.Sc / B.Sc Degree in International Relations / Studies, Political Science, Sociology, or other relevant Social Sciences.
  • Professional qualifications is considered an added advantage
  • At least two years NGO experience as a Program Manager/Director of Program or experience in Project Management.
  • Good knowledge, experience and expertise in CSO movement building and nertworking
  • Experience working with Key populations or Sexual minority groups
  • Good contextual, analytical, writing and oral communication skills.
  • Team leadership and team playing qualities/experience.
  • Computer literacy skills, especially the use of word processing, Excel and power point, etc.
  • A passion for social change with interest in the field of gender equality, human rights, SOGIESC, social justice, and civic engagement.
  • Exceptional professionalism, follow-through and people skills.
  • Personal qualities of humility, capacity for self-reflection, and/or a sense of humor is a plus.
  • Availability to travel within and outside Nigeria.
