The Bible Society of Nigeria is a member of the United Bible Societies (UBS), a global fellowship of Non-Denominational Christian organization whose primary mission involves the translation of the Holy Scriptures into languages people can easily read and understand as well as the production and distribution of the Scriptures to meet the different needs of everyone. It also organizes programmes for engagement with the scriptures and raises funds for these activities.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fundraising Officer

Location: Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Details

  • We are seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced professional as a Fundraising Officer.
  • Interested applicants must be creative, diligent, and practising Christians.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will, among others, do the following:

  • To raise funds for the execution of projects and programmes of the organization.
  • Relate with and service existing donors/members of the organisation.
  • To prospect and enlist new donors/members.
  • Be an active team member of programmes & events planning for the organization.
  • Relate with and speak at Churches/Christian bodies’ fellowship to enlist their support for the organization.
  • Effectively manage assigned donors/members to ensure their maximum endorsement and support for the organization.
  • Undertake other assigned responsibilities pivotal to the smooth running and success of the BSN.

Personnel Specification

  • Minimum qualification of a University Degree or HND Certification in the Social Sciences or Humanities
  • Strong command of written and spoken English
  • Good computer literacy with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • The person must be an excellent marketer with a proven track record of meeting targets.
  • Digital marketing skills are strongly desired.
  • Excellent team player with great relationship management skills
  • Ability to relate with churches of all denominations in the spirit of ecumenism.
  • Ability to develop flawless and impactful letters and proposals.
