Job Objectives
- To supervise and coordinate the execution of offshore installation and hook up of Structures, Pipelines, and Brown Fields Work offshore Nigeria.
- Monitor the work activities of the (Company/Contractor), ensuring materials deliveries are scheduled and all projects are completed safely and within schedule on and with minimal additional costs.
- To complete all other assignments as may be assigned by Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor process plant and relevant utility systems in close cooperation with Control Room Operator. Take and report field readings
- Perform condition monitoring and troubleshooting of process plant and relevant utility systems. Report abnormalities
- Monitor turret/ swivel equipment
- Line up well streams and adjust choke
- Perform pigging operations
- Operate and monitor chemical dosage rates and equipment
- Identify and report deviations from standard operating conditions
- Identify and report process plant and relevant utility systems maintenance requirements
- Perform housekeeping and waste collection and processing for process plant. Ensure cleanliness is maintained
- Liaise with other departments for coordination of operation activities
- Perform process plant first line and preventive maintenance activities as per Computerised Maintenance Management System
- Perform production consumables stock control
- Use the Permit to Work system. Prepare Permits and ensure follow up of issued permit
- Use the Computerised Maintenance Management System. Select and produce reports, update records, generate work orders;
- Ensure that vendors and contractors are managed safely and effectively;
- Undertake training relevant to the position requirements
- On-the-job-training of colleagues and trainees
- Responsible for Laboratory operation and equipment
Requirements
- HND or Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years oil and gas operations experience
- A good understanding of the relevant codes and standards relating to control system requirements for same is a prerequisite
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential, for dealing with a broad spectrum of cultural and organisational styles, as well as being able to fit in as a team player
- Proven experience of supervising and coordinating the activities of production a multi-discipline operations team
- Good inter-personal and communications skills
- Carry out JSA and Toolbox meeting for all non-routine tasks
- Good computer and use of computerized maintenance management skills
