Job Title: Primary Class Teacher

Location: Maitama, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Our client in the educational sector seeks to hire an experienced Primary School Teacher in her international school, the ideal teacher will have the opportunity to shape young minds and create a stimulating learning environment.
  • The school uses the National Curriculum for England and Wales that promotes academic excellence and fosters cultural diversity.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that align with the school's curriculum
  • Provide individualized attention and support to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assess student progress and performance through a variety of methods, such as exams, projects, and presentations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with students' parents or guardians regarding their academic progress and development
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and school events
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and grades.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Valid teaching certification
  • Proven 5-10years experience teaching in an international school or working with diverse student populations
  • Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum and teaching methods.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and differentiate instruction accordingly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in English (additional language proficiency is a plus)
  • Good understanding of cultural differences and willingness to navigate and embrace diversity
