Job Summary

  • We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Support Officer to provide efficient technical assistance to our customers.
  • The Technical Support Officer will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, installing and configuring computer systems and networks, and providing training and support to end-users.
  • The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of technical support experience and must reside close to the company's location in Abuja.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support to customers via phone, email, or in person.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including PCs, printers, networks, and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and network equipment.
  • Identify and escalate complex technical issues to appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure the stability and security of systems.
  • Document technical solutions and procedures for knowledge sharing and training purposes.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on the use of hardware, software, and systems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to provide innovative solutions.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in technical support, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networks, and peripherals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical users.
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must reside close to the company's location in Abuja.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus.
