Job Title: Hydraulic Workover Chief Mechanic

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all the operating machines are functional and in good working condition
• leading the mechanical maintenance, diagnosing fault and repairs of all engines and equipment on the rig and base
• Ensure hourly weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly checks on all the equipment are carried out.
• Affix a sticker once maintenance is carried out
• Connects the hydraulic hoses during rig up and leads in the striping of the BOPS when malfunctioning
• Check day to day running of all static equipment and keep records of the periodic maintenance status
• troubleshoot and rectify any malfunction of the HWU
• Responsible for Issuance of diesel in the location and work with the field engineer to ensure the availability of crucial spares parts
• supervise and direct the other mechanics and ensure planning and schedule preventive maintenance programme is carried out
• Set KPI, monitor performance and appraise the Mechanics performance
• Champion/participate in AAR with the team after demobilization before proceeding to time-off
• Ensure proper handover to the next crew is done-documented evidence
• Send daily report to Rig Manager and Management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of OND in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum Experience: 8 years’ experience as a Hydraulic Workover Unit Mechanics
• Other trainings related to mechanical engineering
• IWCF Level 4
• BOISET
• OSP

Job Specific Skills:

• Troubleshot with diagnostic machine and fix the problem
• fix CAT, Detriot, Volvo, Parkins, John Deeree Engine
• Can work on complex hydraulic system
• Good computer skill
• Report writing skill.

Salary
N300,000 - N450,000 / month.
