Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Ikorodu, Lagos

Job Description

• As a Mechanical Fitter specialized in induction furnaces and EOT cranes at African Steel Mills, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of critical equipment in the steel manufacturing process.
• You'll be entrusted with maintaining and repairing induction furnaces, EOT cranes, and pump houses to uphold operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Well Knowledge about Complete Maintenance and Repairing of Induction furnace, EOT cranes and Pump house.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for doing activities/ progress as per maintenance criteria / parameters, instruction, training experience in line with PM, PI on daily basis.
• Responsible for day-by-day shift Logbook maintaining, Keeping records of detailed work during the shift.
• Ensure timely execution of job with quality and identify the abnormality of equipment at the time.
• Reduce the down time of all equipment’s to increase the equipment availability for better productivity.
• Responsible for Checking oil and pressure to maintained of hydraulic power pack to avoid furnace failures.
• Usage of Optimum Spares & Controlling Inventory
• Follow the safety rules and regulations for Zero accidents.
• Carry out any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
• Manpower planning and engagement of shift manpower
• To maintain proper housekeeping and keep dust free all the machinery and equipment.
