Job Summary

  • We are in search of an innovative, creative, self-motivated and dynamic Senior Pharmaceutical Services & Logistics Associatewith excellent and relevant experience and skillsin ensuring an uninterrupted supply of HIV/AIDS commodities and complementing clinical services items to sites through efficient logistics services and technical support including order processing, inventory management, storage, distribution, and transportation for all program activities. It ensures rational use of ARVs & OIs and monitors utilization through Pharmacy Best Practices and pharmacovigilance in achieving definite program outcomes.
  • The incumbent will plan and support the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care services andImplement an efficient health commodity logistics system for the organization per donor requirements and stipulated guidelines of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the stores' department in implementing SOPs for the warehouse in line with Good Storage Practices.
  • Develop an efficient ordering and distribution system through the review of the existing warehousing and ordering /distribution systems and procedures.
  • Assist in planning, monitoring, and tracking the timely and correct quantification, purchase requests, storage and distribution of goods.
  • Assist in regular stock-taking exercises and reporting on discrepancies and their follow-up.
  • Assist in managing the pharmaceutical care aspects of the HIV care and treatment program
  • Assist to develop work plans and activities in concordance with the Government of Nigeria’s stipulated
  • Guidelines/standards at all healthcare facilities supported by the organization
  • Track, monitor and analyze inventory of all pharmacy stock employing the use of monitoring tools, spread sheets and data bases
  • Assist in periodic training of pharmacy, medical, nursing and counseling staff at sites supported by the HIV care and treatment program.
  • Prepare and submit periodic progress reports from the sites supported to implement HIV care and treatment program

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or other relevant field with prior experience in pharmaceutical services delivery and supply chain management
  • At least 3 years’ experience in related programming in developing countries.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical service delivery, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management.
  • Proficiency in the use of electronic Logistic Management Information Systems e.g. NHLMIS
  • Proficiency in MS Access, SPSS, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and other Office packages.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the demonstrable ability to develop written reports for decision-making.
  • Knowledge of the local language will be an asset.
