Job Title: Web Developer and Front-end Developer (Full-Time)
Location: Ogba, Lagos.
Job Description
- Will be a member of the team majorly as the backend developer but working closely with front-end developer and other affiliate companies we are involved with.
Responsibilities
- To build simple, beautiful and consistent user experiences for our web applications.
- The primary job responsibility for the web application developer position is to provide PHP/JavaScript programming and database design functionality for web applications.
- Design, program, and deliver web/local development projects (PHP, .NET, C#, and related platforms) within designated schedules and budgets.
- Support development of projects from inception through alpha/beta testing and final delivery
- The ability understand the development and creative/design cycles for Product Development
- Act as a go-to person within technical area of expertise
- Design and implementation of web applications, specialising in the user interface
- Perform hands-on software development tasks, such as prototyping, feature development, bug fixing, unit testing and writing automated functional tests
- Liaise with the product architect and developers on software design, dependencies and code maintainability
- Develop database-driven Web interfaces for rapid, real-time information sharing.
- Develop external Web portals allowing users to input and retrieve accurate information.
Skills / Attributes Required:
- Experience building Ajaxified web apps
- Experience building and maintaining front-end code for dynamic modern web applications.
- 2 - 6 years in a professional front-end centric web development role
- Ability to understand creative and project briefs
- Ability to accurately estimate the scope and effort required to deliver complex technical projects
- Significant, demonstrated ability to develop and maintain complex solutions within at least one of the following interactive/rich-media platforms:
- Entire LAMP vertical (Linux, Apache, mySQL, PHP)
- Project experience in the following development methodologies:
- Application design patterns
- OOP/object-oriented development approach
- Use of platform extensions, industry libraries
- Industry-related knowledge of browser client development
- HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery
- Understanding of browser compatibility issues and platform characteristics
- Direct industry experience working in coordination with front-end developers
- Ability to work with interactive requirements-providing external data through multiple means (XML, JavaScript, web services) and guidance on data usage
Qualifications
- Candidate should possess a BSc. HND, or OND in a related discipline and years of experience
- Professional certification will be an added advantage.
- Proven Web and Database Development experience
- In depth PHP, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS and HTML5 knowledge
- Strong database knowledge specifically SQL Server and MySQL
- Graphical Design skills using Fireworks or Photoshop would be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient and a team player.
- Not more than 28 years.
