Job Title: Ferry Coordinator

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Monitor controls and standards to ensure safe and efficient marine operations and adherence to approved policies, procedures, government regulations and shipping protocols associated with general marine operations
• Monitor and provide an overview of all Marine Operations for records and reports purposes
• Serves as a general waterfront supervisor
• Coordinates watercraft availability, dispatching, fueling and servicing of all marine craft
• Ensures that boats are equipped in accordance with state and federal laws (NIMASA, NIWA) regulations and meet required operating standards.
• Instructs Marine Craft personnel in techniques and requirements of boat handling and operation.
• Maintain filling for boat manifest and ensures personnel, clients and visitors adhere to regulation before and after boarding boat
• Maintaining crew records for training and appraisals
• To work in close communication with the Security Officer and Safety Officer, before departure of all ferries
• Periodic reporting of boat activities, expiration of licenses and renewal dates, faults and challenges associated with the day-to-day activities.
• Develop self and keep abreast of marine legislations.

Requirements
Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND or its equivalent
• IT proficiency
• Customer Service Certification will be an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
• STCW 95 certificates
• Crew Administration.
